Tim Thumb PHP Script
For those of you who are Web Developers or even just bloggers, and for some reason you ended up on the Steinbach Youth for Christ site, this post is for you. The images all over this site are all pulled from a php script called Tim Thumb, originally developed by Darren Hoyt. What it does is breaks time down by automatically resizing your images to whatever size you choose. Very handy script for a magazine style website. Anyway, the last week all our images have vanished and i could not for the life of me figure out why? Just a couple minutes ago i finally figured it out. So for those of you that cant get your timthumb.php script to work, first try changing the cache file and your timthumb.php file’s permissions to 766. Originally they should be set at 755, and some say to change to 777, this did not work for me, my server does not allow. So, hopefully that helps someone out. On the other hand, i really need a hand from someone to help me get this site running properly on IE, its so frustrating.

What directory does the cache folder go in? Thanks.
Hey les, the cache folder should go into the same folder as the timthumb.php script. I have the hierarchy for my files as follows: wp-content/themes/yfcwp/scripts/cache. So the cache as well as the timthumb.php should go into a script folder in your themes folder. Hope that helps.
Thank You So Much!! I have been trying to fix this problem all day! I finally came across your site, and it worked. What a relief!
Hey man, glad i could be of help to you. i checked out your site man, pretty sweet! Where are you using the timthumb script?
